Booking a clean
How does booking work?
Choose the type of clean, your area, the date, start time and how many hours you need. Vetted Service Providers who cover your area apply for the job, and you choose who comes. Your booking is confirmed once you have chosen.
How much does it cost?
You pay an hourly rate per cleaner, with a 2-hour minimum. The full price, VAT included, is shown before you confirm. If you want the Service Provider to bring cleaning products and equipment, a small hourly amount is added, also shown up front.
When do I pay?
You add a card when you book, and it is charged only once the job has been marked complete. Payments are handled securely by Stripe, and you get a VAT receipt for every completed booking.
Are the cleaners vetted?
Yes. We review every Service Provider before they can take jobs, including checking a photo ID. Customers rate each job, and we act on reports and poor reviews.
Do I need to supply cleaning products?
It is your choice. You can supply your own products, or ask for a Service Provider who brings everything for a small extra hourly amount.
Can I cancel?
Yes, cancelling is free. As a courtesy, please give at least 3 hours’ notice so your Service Provider is not left with an unexpected gap.
Which areas do you cover?
We are launching across Galway city and nearby areas including Salthill, Knocknacarra, Rahoon, Westside, Bushy Park, Newcastle, Renmore, Mervue, Doughiska, Bearna, Oranmore, Claregalway, Moycullen, Athenry and Tuam. Outside these areas? Join the waiting list when you book and we will tell you when we reach you.
What is the on-site code?
Each confirmed booking has a one-time 4-digit code. Give it to your Service Provider when they arrive; they need it to start the job.
For Service Providers
How do I join as a Service Provider?
Apply online in about three minutes, confirm your email and upload a photo ID. We review every application and will be in touch, usually within a few working days.
Am I an employee of Mocam?
No. Service Providers are not direct employees of Mocam Cleaning & Maintenance. You work for Mocam as a self-employed sub-contractor, as an individual or through your own company, and you choose which jobs you take.
How and when do I get paid?
Your share of each job is shown before you apply, and it is paid straight to your bank account through Stripe once the job is complete.
Can I work for Mocam customers directly?
No. All work for customers you meet through Mocam must be booked and paid through Mocam, while you are a Service Provider and for 12 months after your last job for that customer. You are free to work for your own existing customers and other companies.
